COVID-19 Vaccination Acceptance and Hesitancy among Healthcare Workers in Germany

Vaccination hesitancy is a threat to herd immunity. Healthcare workers (HCWs) play key role in promoting Coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) vaccination the general population. We therefore aimed provide data on COVID-19 acceptance/hesitancy among German HCWs. For this exploratory, cross-sectional study, an online survey was conducted February 2021. The included 54 items demographics; previous behavior; trust vaccines, physicians, pharmaceutical industry and health politics; fear of adverse effects; assumptions regarding consequences COVID-19; knowledge about vaccines; information seeking behavior. Odds ratios with 95% confidence intervals were calculated chi-square tests performed. Four thousand five hundred surveys analyzed. overall acceptance 91.7%. age group ?20 years showed lowest acceptance. Factors associated lack authorities companies. Attitudes acquaintances too.
